East Meon Berrygarden 2013
This is a superlative wine, fruit driven with great complexity of flavour, slightly fresher than its older brother the 2010. This is perfect for drinking now but will improve with laying down.Made by English wine wunderkind Dermot Sugrue from a small 1 acre vineyard once owned by the medieval Bishops of Winchester. Mostly pinot noir with a small amount of co-fermented chardonnay
Matthew Jukes says: "Very charming and forward on the nose with
pear and apple fruit and some succulence beneath the veneer"
Producer: East Meon
Winemaker: Dermot Sugrue
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
