Greyfriars is one of an incredibly small number of vineyards in this country which
both grow and produce Sauvignon Blanc, 10 years on since planting the combination of the vines’ maturity and increasing understanding of how to get the best out of them on the site means that every year the Sauvignon Blanc seems to get better and better.
This wonderfully varietal wine displays a delicate pale colour and ripe herbaceous notes of freshly cut grass and elderflower before moving to aromas of gooseberries and creamy notes. The palate boasts sweet elderflower flavours that give way to lovely grassy and green bell pepper notes. The long finish of gooseberry fool highlights the balance achieved by the combination of the residual sugar and delightful freshness.
