Winbirri Vineyard

Winbirri is a family run vineyard in Surlingham, overlooking the Norfolk Broads in East Anglia. All their wines are produced onsite from grapes grown at the vineyard which sits on good free-draing sandy loam soil. In 2017 they made history at the Decanter World Wine Awards when their Bacchus 2015 won  Best Value Single Varietal in The World, and a Platinum 'Best in Show' Medal to go with it. They also make some notable red wines in the form of their Inscription 2017, a blend of three grape varieties Rondo, Regent and Dornfelder, sometimes referred to as 'The Norfolk Rioja' because of the richness of the vanillins and soft tannins from its time in American oak. Their vintage 2018 Pinot Noir is delightfully juicy with typical notes  of strawberry and raspberry.
