Augusta and Robert are the fifth generation to farm the fields now flourishing with vines. The farm stretches from the ecologically diverse and protected water meadows of the River Itchen to the grassy rolling hills of the South Downs near Winchester. Growing good produce is in their soul, and the terroir of the South Downs is perfect for growing the finest English sparkling wine. The Elegance of Raimes English Sparkling wine starts on the south facing chalk slopes of their Hampshire vineyard. The chalk lends a particular minerality which helps to achieve a delicate balance of ripeness, acidity and berry aroma.Raimes is blended from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, hand picked, taken to the winery and very gently pressed within a few hours.
